Singer Shakira experienced a minor fall during her concert but, being the seasoned performer she is, she handled the situation gracefully—with a smile on her face. The singer was performing recently at the Bell Centre in Montreal, Quebec, as part of her Las Mujeres Ya No Lloran tour. Despite slipping and falling, Shakira immediately regained her composure and continued with the performance.
Shakira falls on stage and her hips come to saviour
On May 20, the Hips Don’t Lie singer was performing her popular track `Whenever, Wherever` when the incident took place. Midway through the song, she slipped near the edge of the stage. However, she quickly turned the fall into a dance move and got right back up.
A video has surfaced on X (formerly known as Twitter), showing the 48-year-old performing with full energy when she suddenly lost her balance and slipped.

Shakira on her Grammy win
Earlier this year, Shakira was awarded the Grammy for Best Latin Pop Album for Las Mujeres Ya No Lloran. During her acceptance speech, the singer-songwriter took the opportunity to address the political turmoil surrounding President Donald Trump’s immigration policies.
Shakira, who received the award from Jennifer Lopez, thanked her children and dedicated the win “to all my immigrant brothers and sisters in this country,” adding:
“You are loved. You are worth it, and I will always fight with you,” said the Colombian star.
She also paid tribute to “all of those women who work really hard every day to provide for their families,” concluding with:
“You are the true She-wolves.”
Since Trump’s inauguration, ICE had conducted high-profile raids and deported undocumented immigrants using military and charter flights, triggering widespread panic across the country.
Shakira also addressed the issue on the red carpet before the show, telling LA Times en Español:
“I was also an immigrant who came to this city with a dream. I know very well what those setbacks are like, but I also know how strong our people are. Latinos are unstoppable, and I won’t tire of fighting with them and for them. Together, we will persevere.”
