Sindoor turned into barood: PM Modi on Operation Sindoor

Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Thursday asserted that India, after Operation Sndoor, made it clear that Pakistan will have to pay a heavy price for every terrorist attack and said that “not blood but sindoor runs in my veins.”

In his first public appearance since Operation Sindoor, Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Thursday addressed a large gathering in Bikaner. While addressing the people of Rajasthan, he stated that the country`s enemies have learnt what happens when `sindoor` becomes gunpowder. After his powerful words, he also appreciated India`s armed forces for creating such a trap that Pakistan was forced to go down on its knees.

After inaugurating various programs across the nation virtually, PM Modi addressed the public in Rajasthan. This was his first appearance after Operation Sindoor which was launched in the aftermath of the Pahalgam attack. In his speech, the prime minister slammed Pakistan and said in response to the attack on April 22, “We destroyed nine biggest terror hideouts in 22 minutes,” as per PTI.

He added, “The world and the enemies of the country have seen what happens when sindoor turns into `barood` (gunpowder).”

Furthermore, he stated that “India is not scared of Pakistan`s nuclear threats. If there is any terror attack on India in future, we are ready to give a befitting reply to Pakistan. The time and methods will be decided by our armed forces,” he said, addressing a public meeting in Palana in Bikaner.

“Our government gave a free hand to all three armed forces. Together they created such a trap that Pakistan was forced to go down on its knees,” PM Narendra Modi said.

As per PTI, The Prime Minister also addressed that Pakistan tried their best to target and destroy the Nal air base in Bikaner, but they could not cause any damage. He further said, “But no one knows when Pakistan`s Rahimyar Khan air base will open again. It is in the ICU. The attack has destroyed it.”

“Pakistan can never win a direct fight against India. Whenever there is a direct flight, Pakistan has to face defeat again and again. That is why Pakistan has made terrorism a weapon to fight against India,” he added.

In response to the April 22 Pahalgam terror incident, which killed 26 people, India launched precision attacks on terrorist infrastructure in Pakistan as part of Operation Sindoor on May 7.

Retaliating to India`s Operation Sindoor, Pakistan attempted to strike Indian military bases on May 8, 9, and 10. However, even after trying their best, Pakistani armed forces failed miserably. In a befitting reply, Indian armed forces launched a powerful counterattack against multiple Pakistani military positions, destroying their 11 air bases, including Nur Khan, Rafiqui, Murid, Sukkur, Sialkot, Pasrur, Chunian, Sargodha, Skaru, Bholari and Jacobabad, which significantly destroyed Pakistan`s air force structure.

However, on May 10, India and Pakistan reached an agreement to cease their armed conflict following four days of heavy cross-border drone and missile strikes.
