Tom Cruise video calls Jin’s family
In one of the episode`s sweetest moments, when Jin asked Cruise for a selfie to show his mother, the Hollywood star insisted on video calling her instead. On the call, Jin excitedly told his mom, “Tom Cruise is here. He wanted to video call you. Looks like they were all having a meal.”
Cruise admired the food they were eating and said, “That looks fantastic.” He even asked Jin about his grandfather and briefly spoke to him during the call.
“Very nice to meet you,” Cruise said to Jin’s family before ending the call. Jin then told them to watch Mission: Impossible – The Final Reckoning on the big screen.
Jin’s hilarious reaction to Tom suggesting joint stunts
During the episode, the two also discussed the stunts in Mission: Impossible – The Final Reckoning. Tom mentioned that the action scenes in the film were the most challenging of his career and that he had to adjust his training regimen to prepare.
Jin, in turn, recommended that Tom try the local Korean dish mulhwe, and Tom promised to do so right after the show.
Before wrapping up, Tom playfully suggested that he and Jin try some aerial stunts together. Jin nervously responded that he would never do any air stunts with Tom Cruise. The Hollywood actor then offered a compromise—doing ground stunts like driving at 250 miles an hour. Jin’s panicked and hilarious reactions to the idea had fans in splits.
