Cannes 2025: Chhaya Kadam returns, flaunts pink saree by Indian brand

Actress Chhaya Kadam had a stellar 2024 on the professional front, delivering standout performances in films like Madgaon Express, Laapataa Ladies, and All We Imagine As Light. While Laapataa Ladies was India’s official entry for the Oscars, All We Imagine As Light won the Grand Prix award at the 2024 Cannes Film Festival. She walked the red carpet last year with the team of both films.

Chhaya Kadam returns to Cannes

Chhaya has now returned for her second year at Cannes. For her first look, she opted for a pink saree by Suat Bombay.

Sharing joyful pictures of herself in the pink saree, Kadam reflected on returning to the prestigious festival.

She wrote in Marathi about how different it felt coming to Cannes for the second time. The translated text roughly reads: “This is the first day of the Cannes Film Festival in 2025. Last year, on this very day, it was my first time in Cannes. I acted like a newbie and was quite stressed, but I enjoyed it. This year, this place—this city and the people I meet here—all feel like my own. The streets and the people in colourful clothes feel like familiar friends. It feels like the family formed at last year’s Cannes has grown even larger this year. Now I am curious about today’s screening—mine, and of course, our Snow Flower.”
